”Committed to Good Treatment” Project

proyecto comprometidos por el buen trato fundacion abriendo camino

This project, financed by OLÉ Supermarket is the extension and enlargement of the project “For a under-resourced urban neighborhood Free of Violence against Children,” which ended in August of 2018.

The project proposes to raise the consciousness of the community, in particular its children, teens and families, about violence and human rights. It seeks to prevent violence by educating and empowering parents and guardians in terms of the benefits of a positive upbringing. The project’s other goal is to develop the community’s capacity to detect, counsel and accompany children who have been victims of violence, along with boosting community mechanisms for protection and reporting.

It includes an awareness campaign directed to customers at three OLÉ supermarkets, which will promote positive upbringing and good treatment, with a national communication strategy for the initiative. Further project components include talks and workshops designed for OLÉ’s staff in Cristo Rey, Avenida Duarte and Villa Mella, along with community activities in these different sectors (each of which has a relation to Villas Agrícolas).
