The Fight against School Desertion

lucha-contra-desercion-escolar

This program proposes educational responses adapted to the children and teenagers who have been marginalized by the education system in Villas Agrícolas, promoting inclusion and integration to reinsert drop-outs in the educational system. It is a pilot program with personalized instruction intended for 15 students who are not currently enrolled in an educational institution.

Every year the Foundation works to resolve one-by-one the cases of students who have been unable to register for classes at one of the schools in Villas Agrícolas, accompanying their families through the different steps necessary for the reinsertion of the students. The Foundation intervenes in the neighborhood public schools with the intent of finding joint solutions for student reinsertion. Where necessary we help students maintain scholarly habits until they can go back to school.

If we evaluate that a teenager doesn’t have the capacity to continue a formal education, the Foundation provides orientation toward technical-professional instruction.
